The hiking trail is beautifully flat and without any significant gradient, but a bridge was necessary here to safely cross a few loose boulders. The descent is quite steep. - The great advantage of the path close to the rocks is the magnificent view of the Saale River on the one hand, and the close encounter with the beautiful sandstone formations on the other. The "Rudolstadt Riviera" is a geological natural monument, and the hiking trail passes very close to it. - The scarred sandstone cliffs are absolutely impressive. A true aesthetic delight of colors and shapes!
