St. Lambert is located on a vague hill near the village of Pristava above Stično. Unfortunately, there is no view from the top, where the castle where Duchess Virida Visconti from Milan once lived once stood, as it is obscured by a forest.
The Church of St. Lambert on Pristava is dedicated to an educated missionary from the 7th century. St. Lambert was known for his efforts to renew the church situation and spread the Christian faith. Today, the church preserves the heritage of the place and the memory of the historical and spiritual tradition of Pristava.
The Church of St. Lambert is closely connected to the story of Pristava and its noble past, as it was part of the life of Virida Visconti in the 14th century, who spent the autumn of her life in this area. On the 600th anniversary of her death, a memorial plaque was placed on the church, reminding us of the important historical role of this location.
