Not only interesting for pharmacists! Whole pharmacy equipment of yesteryear can be admired. The change of the pharmacist from the manufacturer of medicines to the patient adviser in the jungle of the pharmaceutical industry becomes visible. An exhibition chapter is dedicated to the production of pharmaceuticals in Thuringia during the GDR - interesting to see the old preparations. A herb center completes the visit.

The Thuringian Pharmacy Museum in "Haus Rosenthal" has been open since May 18, 2014.
In one of the oldest half-timbered houses in the city, an exhibition on the history of pharmaceuticals from the 18th to the 20th century is presented on an area of 276 m².
Valuable standing vessels made of glass, porcelain and wood, pharmaceutical tools, as well as mortars and scales are on display.
In eight rooms, visitors can discover the various work areas of an old pharmacy.
