CREATION HISTORY: The idea of building a Pecherkapelle came up in Pech circles. Prof. Marx took up the idea at the celebration of St. Vincent's Day on January 20th, 2001 and presented it to the unlucky ones. The first considerations about design and financing were made. At first they had a conventional band in mind: estimated material costs ÖS 8o, ooo, - the work should be done in-house. In the end, however, the country N.Ö. interested in the project. It was put out to tender and funding of initially ÖS 3oo, ooo, - was promised. Three architects took part in the competition: Mag.arch. Martin Feiersinger, Mag.arch. Jutta Wörtl-Gössler and Arch. DI Günther Zemann. On July 3, 2001, a jury of experts in St. Pölten (9 representatives from Hernstein were present - of course without voting rights!) Decided in favor of Arch. Gössler's design to inspire. The state subsidy was increased to ATS 490,000, and the groundbreaking ceremony could finally take place on January 26, 2002. The actual work began in May and should be completed by the consecration act on September 22, 2002
