On the inconspicuous Soraypampa, which stretches between the steep slopes of the neighboring mountains, inconspicuous boulders unite to form a small hut, which offers the already exhausted hikers a reason to take a break. Refreshments and strengthening snacks are eagerly implemented. From here the terrain up to the Salkantay Pass becomes particularly strenuous. Two different paths cross here. Mule caravans pass by here and there is a lot of activity.
The toilet, which is a little off the beaten track, is particularly charming. A hole in the ground over which a tripod holds a matted fur as a privacy screen. Pure functionality without comfort, just the way you secretly want it on your trekking tour.
