Chaullay is a small village located at an altitude of about 2,900 meters in the heart of the jungle. It is inhabited by a few families who live mainly from agriculture and from the economic movement generated by those who pass by, usually on the Salkantay Trek. There are several campsites on small farms and personal land, where the owners allow tents to be pitched within small shelters for a fee. Locals often cook and provide food for those who camp here. Additionally, you can purchase some products for an emergency supply.
