The beautiful castle island south of the Lübbener center can be reached via four bridges. Large meadows and seating under tall trees invite you to take a break. Surrounded on all sides by the water, you can really switch off here. There is also a large playground on the island.

The Lübben Castle Island combines Spreewald nature and culture in the middle of the city,
a green gem and ideal for relaxing.
Here, imaginatively designed hiking trails and adventure areas such as a labyrinth, sound garden or water playground invite you to stroll and linger.
A popular excursion destination in the middle of the Spreewald town of Lübben for families with children, because the island is surrounded by water on all sides.
There are many hidden places here for sunbathing or for a picnic in the green.

If you take a boat trip in Lübben, many routes also pass the castle,
which now houses a museum and a restaurant. The castle island
makes for a great photo opportunity.

But the castle island is also used as a picturesque backdrop for events such as the “Island Music Summer”, the “Lübben Boat Nights” or the “Terrace Atelier”.
