If you reach the summit early, you'll have it practically to yourself. The views from up there are magnificent. The summit cross stands on the rocky section of this viewing area. There's also a summit book at the summit cross. There are two ways to reach the summit cross: from the west, which is a bit rockier, and from the east of the viewing platform.

From the Alpsitzbahn mountain station in Nesselwang, you can comfortably ascend to the summit cross of the Alpspitze. Afterwards, you can climb to the Edelsberg opposite, followed by a stop at the very rustic and cozy Dinserhütte. I recommend returning via the Kappeler Alpe to the Maria Trost Chapel and continuing along the Stations of the Cross into the valley.
