Between 1920 and 1924, Mallon completed this mill, the second he built on his farm. Using hand tools, Mallon fashioned the gears, wheels, and shafts from scrub birch and his millstones from granite from the North Saskatchewan River. Despite persistently weak winds, Mallon's mill did good business in the region. In 1964, the Devonian Group of Charitable Foundations donated the building to Heritage Park and donated $35,000 for its restoration.
