In their charming shop in the village center, owners Ida and Johannes Collin maintain the atmosphere of a true country store. They primarily offer regionally and locally produced goods – from groceries to handicrafts. Norråkers Handel is the only shop within a fifty-kilometer radius. It has everything you need for daily life, along with friendly service and a pleasant chat. There's even a small holiday apartment for "sleeping in the general store."
The village of Norråker has lost around 200 inhabitants since the 1960s (and consequently lost its status as an independent municipality in 1990). Today, just over eighty people still live in Norråker, which lies directly on the northern border of Jämtland. Västerbotten begins immediately beyond the village.
