We begin our exploration at the parking lot near the Zschopau Dam. Instead of going directly to the castle, we take a short walk along the hiking trail toward the water.

We reach the lake stage and now have a view of the Zschopau River.
Today is a dark gray day.

We follow the path through the forest and suddenly, next to us, we see a treehouse hotel.
An interesting overnight option.

With the leaves already in their first autumn colors, we reach the viewing point with a view of the dam and the reservoir.
It serves as flood protection and for energy generation.
