According to legend, the path of the Apostle Andrew the First-Called ran through Meshchera. The Apostle erected a Cross here, and later these lands became known as Krestov Brod. The city of Roshal was built on the site of the ancient Krestov Brod tract. The monument was unveiled in 2021.
