Experience nature and history in the border hiking area Finsterau in the Bavarian Forest - The forest historical hiking area connects the Bavarian Forest National Park and the Sumava National Park in the Bohemian Forest. Along historical trade routes, hikers can enjoy the beauties of the unique, unspoilt nature and the historical region on the Bavarian-Bohemian border. Former Trift canals such as the Reschbachklause, the Schwellgraben and the Teufelsklause, which were used for the Holztrift, as well as the viewpoint at the Siebensteinkopf are the special highlights of this lonely and idyllic border hike near Finsterau.

According to the sign, the Grenzsteig is a dead end and should not be used all year round. So don't plan in the hike.
