The Naturfreundehaus Groß-Eppental is located near the town of Bad Dürkheim in a romantic valley in the middle of the nature reserve of the Palatinate Forest. Unfortunately we were closed.

The legendary Saturday steamed dumplings are no longer available under the new tenant (since August 2023), but they do serve apple pancakes with potato soup every Saturday.
In summer, you can enjoy sitting on the terrace – almost like being in the treetops!

Here you can rest in the beer garden with many people. There is a nice place to sit on the terrace. I find the prices a bit high... But that's my own opinion. Paid 7 euros for an AF wheat and a piece of cake....

In the Naturfreundehaus on Saturdays there are probably the tastiest steamed dumplings on earth!
A cover consisting of a potato soup, a steamed dumpling and vanilla or wine sauce costs €9.90. Hmm it is delicious!

Beautiful NFH with good Palatinate cuisine and drinks and food from the region. When the weather is nice, it is advisable to make a reservation on Sundays.
