The Tegelberg is accessible via the cable car of the same name. The mountain is a popular destination for hikers, hang-gliders, paragliders, and skiers. A panoramic restaurant is located next to the mountain station at 1,720 meters. Not far away is the Tegelberghaus. This inn was formerly the royal Bavarian hunting lodge of Maximilian II. From the mountain station, you can see, among other things, the Säuling, Hoher Straußberg, Bannwaldsee, Forggensee, and Hopfensee.

The gondola ride is quick but, in my opinion, a bit overpriced.
Beautiful hiking trails down into the valley and up to the mountain peaks.

We hiked up from the valley and had a quick bite to eat there 👍
Since there's not much space in the hut in colder weather, it quickly becomes very sociable 😊
