Branching off from the main roads to the dam, I discovered this small path that runs through the forest, close to the Soeste River. While there are some fallen trees and some muddy patches to negotiate, anyone who loves nature will enjoy walking on the springy forest floor, taking care not to step on anything, and enjoying the peace and quiet. A true discovery for me on the way to the mouth of the Soeste. Branching off from this small path are occasional side paths that lead to the banks of the Soeste and offer views of the Soeste, which has become quite wide here. Tread carefully, as you are walking through a natural treasure.

At this point, the Soeste begins to widen significantly, as a few kilometers later it flows into the Thülsfeld Dam. A kind of river delta is created, with a corresponding diversity of nature and species of fauna and flora.
