    Somewhat hidden within the flat-wave Lüneburg Heath, in the Harburg Mountains, the Hasselbrack is the highest natural elevation in Hamburg with an astonishing 116.2 m above sea level. NN.

    The contact point for hikers and bikers is located on the southern border of Hamburg to Lower Saxony in the middle of the state forest Rosengarten in the Black Mountains (northern foothills of the Harburger mountains) in the south-southeast of the hamburg district Neugraben-Fischbek.

    To marvel there is unfortunately no vision of the landscape at a short rest - but a Gemarkungsstein with inscription and wooden cross.

                                                  It is not easy to find Hasselbrack as it is not signposted. A rare species of owl lives in the wild on the summit of the Hasselbrack, and apparently it shouldn't be disturbed as much. Therefore, the way to Hamburg's highest peak leads up via secret paths.
