You can walk down the steps to the beach. It's a beautiful rock formation and the scenery is breathtaking. There are caves in the rocks, which are cool to see.

Great for hiking (we were here in December) and definitely nice for swimming in the summer. If you're passing through, I recommend spending a night at the Durdle Door Holiday Park above the beach.

Durdle Door is one of England's most iconic and photographed natural landmarks, located on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, England. It's a massive, natural limestone arch that juts out dramatically into the sea.
Durdle Door was formed over millions of years by the relentless erosive power of the sea. Around 140 million years ago, during the Jurassic period, the area was covered by a shallow, warm sea, leading to the deposition of sediment layers, including limestone. Tectonic forces uplifted and tilted these rock layers, and over millennia, the sea wore away softer rock, leaving behind the more resistant Portland limestone that forms the arch. You can even see ripple marks from an ancient fossilized forest in the rock at the top of the arch.
