At the same time as the manor house in Kostin, a stone single-domed church of the Holy Trinity was built with funds from the Sabashnikovs. Kostino - Originally - since the 18th century - an estate belonging to the princes Trubetskoy. In 1840, the princes Trubetskoy sold Kostino to the merchant Kharitonov, from whom, in turn, the estate was bought by industrialists Vysotsky and Vasily Sabashnikov during the construction of the Nizhny Novgorod railway (1858-1862). Later, Vasily Sabashnikov bought out Vysotsky's share, and subsequently the estate passed to his children. In 1893, when the property was divided between brothers and sisters, the estate went to Mikhail and Sergey Sabashnikov - book publishers. The Sabashnikovs built the Church of the Holy Trinity in Kostin.
