The Evangelical Lutheran Christ Church is the town church in Hildburghausen (Thuringia). The former residence church was built from 1781 to 1785 according to plans by Albrecht Friedrich von Kesslau with a large interior dome. With almost 1000 seats, it is the largest church in southern Thuringia[1] and the most important religious building in the former Duchy of Saxe-Hildburghausen.

The Christ Church was the baptism site of Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen, the wife of King Ludwig I of Bavaria. Johann Peter Heuschkel was one of the organists. Ludwig Nonne was one of the preachers.
