"On the former heap of the Prosper mine in Bottrop there is probably the most unusual pyramid in the Ruhr area: the tetrahedron. What a fantastic view from the tetrahedron in Bottrop. The "Emscherblick heap event" was designed by the architect Prof. Dipl-Ing. designed by Wolfgang Christ. The tetrahedron was built in 1995. The tetrahedron in Bottrop 210 tons of steel and pipes with a length of 1.5 km were installed. The "Direttissima" with 387 steps or a small road that winds its way up the heap on Beckstraße in serpentines leads to the top of the heap. The 90 meter high heap was raised between 1969 and 1993 and then acquired by the KVR.
