Opened with a gun salute – the Sponheim Musketeers will be graciously welcoming the Trarbacher Himmelsliege above the Moselle Valley on May 1st.

The Trarbacher Himmelsliege – a place to dream high above the Moselle.

High above, where the Moselsteig and Moselcamino meet, a new place of power has been created: the Trarbacher Himmelsliege.

In the heart of nature, above the historic Grevenburg, it invites hikers, walkers, and nature lovers to pause, take a deep breath, and enjoy the unique view over the Moselle Valley.

The Himmelsliege symbolizes what volunteer work can achieve. The project was initiated and realized by the Traben-Trarbacher Ants and the Starkenburger.de initiative, supported by civic engagement and a great love of their homeland.
Support came from project sponsor Theresa Knod (Westenergie - Active Locally) and the Mosel Local Action Group (LAG), which supports innovative projects in rural areas with the help of the EU LEADER funding program.
The comfortable, handcrafted lounger made of high-quality materials was carefully anchored and blends harmoniously into the landscape.
A true reflection of local love – a place to linger, marvel, and recharge.
