In the Švenčionys district, in the village of Meiliūnai, there is a Sendvaris observation tower, which is also called Švenčionys or Kochanovka. From the tower located in the Sirvėta regional park, you can look out over the vastness of this protected area.
The Švenčionys observation tower (also known by another name) of typical metal construction has an observation deck at a height of 26 meters. Another identical twin observation tower is located in Ignalina.
The tower offers a panoramic view of the hilly landscapes of Šventa and Sirvėta landscape reserves established in the Švenčionys district. You can see the small lake Bėlis hidden among the trees and the surviving and newly built homesteads of the village of Kochanovka, renamed after the old Meiliūnai.
