The water of the spring is clear, colorless, odorless, its taste is somewhat reminiscent of the water of swamps with iron. In summer, the water temperature reaches 8.0°C. It does not freeze in winter. Total mineralization – 225.4 mg/l. It is fresh, medium hardness, according to the chemical composition, it is hydrocarbonate magnesium calcium water. Compared to fresh drinking water quality standards (maximum allowable concentrations of components), spring water has approximately 3.3 times more iron. The flow rate of the Lino Verde spring is 5.88 l/s or 507.67 m³ per day. In the past, the water rushed from the spring more violently, the discharge decreased after the reclamation of the surrounding areas. A new 30 cm wide and 60 cm high flood wall (previously wooden) was built of field stones with 3 channels at the top, which are of basalt cut stone. The lower part of the slope of the sufous cirque is reinforced with boulders 20-30 cm in diameter pressed into the soft soil, most of which are under water.
