Six large stone graves, three barrows and a stone box grave congregate in the south of Westerholte. They are connected by the archaeological hiking trail "Steingräberweg". At each grave you will find information signs and learn more about the history of the megalithic tombs. They were built in the Neolithic between 3500 and 2800 BC.

The Grumfeld east passage grave is a Neolithic passage grave with the Sprockhoff no. 896. It arose between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC as a megalithic complex of the Funnel Beaker Culture (TBK) and is hidden in the forest, south-east of Westerholte in the Fürstenau Mountains, north of Ueffeln in the municipality of Ankum, in the district of Osnabrück in Lower Saxony.
