Neuburg Castle impresses with its blend of Renaissance and Baroque styles and its fascinating history as the former residence of the Palatinate-Neuburg. It houses a museum that's a real insider tip. The collection of Flemish Baroque art, including works by Rubens, is particularly impressive. The castle grottoes are also not to be missed. They are artfully decorated with shells and figurines and have an almost surreal feel. The staff was extremely friendly and made the visit even more enjoyable.

The Neuburg Castle Chapel, consecrated in 1543, is considered the oldest Protestant church in Germany. The castle chapel's focal point is the ceiling painting by Hans Bocksberger, created in the same year. The chapel is particularly suitable for concerts, with the pews seating approximately 100 concertgoers.
