The view on a hike from Niederurnen to the Hirzli is rather modest, but on the Hirzli you are rewarded with a very beautiful view and all-round visibility. And if you then add the extension over the ridge to the Planggenstock, you are more than compensated for the quite strenuous ascent with little prospect. It's beautiful up here !!!
In terms of difficulty, the ascent to the Hirzli is tough, but not technically demanding, the tightrope walk over to the Planggenstock needs a little more surefootedness and a bit of a head for heights, but everything within the normal framework.
