The Sant'Agostino complex consists of the church and the adjoining convent. The structure of the entire building, typically Baroque in the Apulian style, is large with over 50 rooms distributed throughout the convent and a church, with a central plan and semicircular apse. Built in the second half of the sixteenth century, it has been expanded several times and has hosted various religious communities, almost always Augustinians.

The restoration work on the building has recently been completed and it will be used as a school of specialization and professional training with an educational museum for restorers specialized in rock art.
