From here you have a fantastic view of the Bode Valley. The name of the hill is reminiscent of the head forester La Viers, who was the highest-ranking forestry official in the Prussian province of Saxony for the Harz forest areas in the 19th century. La Viers, possibly of Huguenot descent, often hunted in this area. In view of the onset of Harz tourism, he suggested the creation of hiking trails very early on and even before the Harz Club was founded.

Either from La Viershöhe to Bode or from Bode to La Viershöhe. Some prefer to go downhill, others prefer to go uphill.

A beautiful serpentine path with a stamp guarantee.

You should be sure-footed and wear sturdy shoes. You walk the path at your own risk, if it is not temporarily completely blocked. Warnings are given against falling rocks and danger to life.

From here you have a wonderful all-round view! From a small ledge you can see the Bodetal and Thale.

The stamp box of HWN No. 72 is also located here.

A promising highlight for a hike and definitely not overcrowded.

Steep and rocky path from the Bode up to La Viershöhe.
Sturdy hiking shoes are a must and when it rains the stones can be really slippery.
The path is not too overcrowded (you will still meet people) and leads wonderfully through the relatively dense forest ...

The leap after pursued once the giant Bodo the beautiful princess Brunhilde, whom he wanted to marry against her will. The giant Bodo gave the river the name Bode.

The path from the Bodetal up to the La Viershöhe is partly quite demanding due to the scree, but can be done with a reasonable basic level of fitness and sure-footedness. At the top you have a wonderful view of the Bodetal.
