The Museo Comarcal Velezano Miguel Guirao is located in Vélez-Rubio, in the province of Almería. This museum is housed in the building of the Antiguo Hospital Real, built in 1765. The museum's collection includes thousands of archaeological, paleontological and ethnological pieces, from the Comarca de Los Vélez and other places in the southeast of Spain, as well as the Sahara.

The museum offers an exhibition that covers from the primitive phases of prehistory to contemporary historical objects of popular culture2. In addition, it has models and recreations of rural life in Vélez.

Opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 14:00. In the afternoons, hours vary depending on the season.
