ハイキング
Wachendorfで移住者農場を経営するScheidtweiler夫妻は、有名なスイスの建築家Peter Zumthorに礼拝堂の建設を依頼しました。Scheidtweiler氏は建築家に手紙を書き、充実した人生への感謝の気持ちからこの計画を説明しました。その後、彼はこれに同意しました。
建設は、丸太でできた、ティピに似た足場の上に、突き固められたコンクリートで建てられました。建設が完了した後、木製の足場は内側から燃やされました。これにより、天井のユニークな形状が生まれ、最初の数年間は常に燃えた匂いがしました。
開館時間は、夏時間は午前10時から午後5時まで、冬時間は午前10時から午後4時までです。

The way to the chapel is already part of a special experience, you shouldn't shorten it.
If you want to experience this field chapel for yourself and in silence, it is good to visit it if the weather does not necessarily invite you to hike and during the week instead of the weekend.
The chapel is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in summer, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in winter.

It has no windows. Light falls from above through the open ceiling and through the small, light-filled glass holes in the walls.
A special place of prayer and meditation ...
