Large public parking is the ideal location to explore the De Bunt nature reserve.
Den Bunt is a nature reserve with remarkable flora, created from the numerous floods of the Durme and from the reclaimed peat pits.
Most peat pits were filled in during the reconstruction of the Scheldt at the end of the 19th century. The remaining pits have now become fish-rich ponds.
A surprising green oasis behind the salt marshes of the Durme.
