The Roth Factory Museum was rightly awarded the Bavarian Museum Prize in 2003. Wire drawing and the production of Leonian goods is shown in an incredibly fascinating way during a guided tour of the running machines.

The Roth Factory Museum focuses on the Leonian industry, which was decisive for the industrialization of the city and shaped the development of Roth in the 19th century. The process of using a gold-plated or silver-plated thread to produce fine webs and fabrics comes from Lyon/France, the center of the art of weaving.

It was brought to Roth by the Huguenot George Fournier and developed on a large scale by the braid manufacturer Johann Philipp Stieber.

In the factory museum, the path of the wire to Leonian goods is shown on running machines during an impressive tour. The individual stations are the fine drawing, the ironing, the various forms of further processing on spinning machines and looms, and the packaging.

In 2003, the factory museum was awarded the Bavarian Museum Prize by the Bavarian Insurance Chamber.
