Wengelsbach is a hamlet belonging to the municipality of Niedersteinbach on the German-French border. Since the town is located in a valley basin that opens north towards the German border, it is relatively isolated from the surrounding area and can only be reached by bike or on foot from Germany. In the village is the restaurant au Wasigenstein, which offers traditional cuisine. The restaurant is very busy on weekends. Reservations are recommended, restaurantwasigenstein.fr. Another highlight in town is the Saint Joseph chapel
