Castle and museum are currently closed. This leaves the way to the old main entrance around the castle through the moat, where you can at least see the building from below.

Eppstein Castle towers stately over the city. In the castle there is a museum that brings you closer to the thousand-year history of the historic site. The exhibition is designed to be interactive and multimedia, making it entertaining for children. The castle complex is open daily (except Mondays) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from April to October. In the winter months, the gates do not open until an hour later. Admission for adults is 4 euros.

Note (October 2020): The castle and the museum are currently closed. A crack in the wall was found in the western kennel, the securing work is still ongoing. Current information: eppstein.de.
