The current building was built in 1717 and surrounded by a wall that was demolished in 1965. A building already stood here in 1513, which was destroyed several times. In the garden there are 2 valuable centuries-old red beeches.

The rectory of the Sint-Ermelindis parish is a protected monument dating from 1779. A two-storey house with a typical hipped roof, brick walls with a plinth and window frames in typical Gobertange natural stone. In recent decades, the rectory has been used by associations and youth movements, and the finish is outdated and worn out. In addition, the building has also completely slumped due to subsidence in the subsoil, and both the roof and certain facades are in urgent need of maintenance. The windows were already replaced at the end of the last century.
The large attic space was once partly used as a living space for staff, but 60% was never finished.
