The cattle trails have a remarkable historical and ethnographic value, reflecting a lifestyle and customs that were decisive in the rural world for more than five hundred years. The Cañada Real Soriana Oriental is one of the most important cattle trails in the network of Spanish transhumance routes, with more than 800 kilometres between the Riojan mountain ranges and Sierra Morena.
