The Lönsfelsen on the Leykopf in Kalltal is named after the local poet and nature lover Hermann Löns (1866-1914), who made an intimate declaration of love for the landscape of the High Fens with the multi-layered description of a courtship hunt. As a thank you, a relief image on the west side of the rock has been commemorating the poet since 1926.
