Derówka Pond is a historic element of the flood control system that served as the Great Bieruński Pond, drained at the turn of 1809 and 1810. This pond was crucial for the region's water management and fish farming, but over time it declined due to climate change and industrialization, and was ultimately drained to convert the land to agricultural land. Currently, the area is being revitalized and is intended to serve as a recreational area.
