But it's not just the view that makes this place special: the church of San Michele in Bosco is an ancient building that over the centuries has performed various functions, including military barracks and prison during the Napoleonic invasion, residence of the King of Italy and headquarters of the Rizzoli hospital.

You have to go to this spot for the beautiful view. There is a church with a car park in front of it (nothing special) and a little wall from where you can enjoy the beautiful view with, say, a glass of wine :-)
