Pure medieval romance awaits you at the Dinkelsbühl wine market with its magnificent gabled houses on the western side of the market.

You stand in front of the corner house with a delicate spire - the former council drinking room from the 16th century. Nearby is the old patrician house, today's “Zur Glocke” inn. Next to it was a granary, a trading post and a dance house. The god of wine, Bacchus, adorns the small hipped roof of the "German House".

Magnificent gabled houses (around 1600) adorn the west side of the Weinmarkt:

The corner house with the delicate spire is the former council drinking room. It was a weighing building and accommodation for high-ranking guests of the city such as Emperor Charles V (1546) and King Gustav II Adolf of Sweden (1632).

Today's inn "Zur Glocke" (patrician house with stepped gable before 1600).

The "German House" with half-timbered houses from the late Renaissance. Bacchus, god of wine and joie de vivre, is enthroned under the small hipped roof.

The "Schranne" with its obelisk-decorated snail gable. The elongated building was a granary, trading center and dance hall.
