The castle was built in the first half of the 12th century. The hall names Hossenbühl and Hossenhalde are reminiscent of the ministerial family. The lords were Ministeriale of the Counts of Hohenberg. Around 1300 Count Friedrich von Zollern owns land and serfs in Hossingen. In 1306 Count Friederich von Zollern renounced his right to be a member of the Hossengut. For the monastery Beuron it had bought Chorherr Berthold von Dürrwangen. From the family of lords a Burkard von Hossingen 1325 acts as a lay brother in the monastery forest. Berthold and Konrad von Digisheim as well, her sister Mechthild until 1329 as abbess.

From the parking lot a few meters away. Cool is the super maintained and decorated refuge. Thanks to the hut we were able to have a nice rest on cooler summer days on a very hot summer day.
