Starting at the end of the brass yard at the Kupfermühle, a somewhat hidden path that leads to the southeast leads to the German / Danish border, which is only about 50 meters away, and after crossing it directly to the Gendarmstien. From there you can use a number of, especially sparsely populated hiking trails along the Danish side of the Flensburg Fjord for beautiful walks.

The border here runs through the Kollunder Forest (DK), visually but not at all, not even a Wildschweinzaun🤣!
At least I could make out an old little landmark (with a Danish crown symbol)
The path leads past the / the Kupfermühle- / museum, then over the place of a used car dealer, past the FFW copper mill into the forest, there over a small bridge. Here you are in the middle of the Kollunder forest (DK) with beautiful old beeches.
