From the Luisenturm, weather permitting, you have a wonderful view of the wide landscape of the Saale valley and the foothills of the Thuringian Forest. It has a great connection to the cycling and hiking network and is ideal for staying and resting. The Festival of 1,000 Lights takes place here on the last weekend in June.

The Luisenturm can easily be reached by bike from Kleinkochberg, Neckeroda or Schmieden.
From Großkochberg you can walk to the tower via the Goetheweg in the direction of Weimar.
The festival of 1000 lights takes place on the last weekend in June. Definitely worth a trip.
