The ascent to the Drachenfels plateau alone is worth seeing and can be mastered both on foot and by train. There are viewpoints of the Rhine and the surrounding area in various sections of the ascent. With good visibility you can let a wide view wander, which is very worthwhile 😊 From the Drachenfels plateau you can u. a. also use the entrance to the 2nd stage of the Rheinstieg 😋

Great view from up there! Those who are not so fit on foot can also take the oldest still operating cog railway in Germany. Also a highlight.

The Drachenfels viewing plateau is the attraction of Königswinter. For hikers, the plateau is interesting and accessible via the village of Röhndorf. Once at the top you have a breathtaking view of the Rhine and the surrounding area. The less sporty can take the Zahnradbahn to the plateau in Köningswinter. You can take the train every thirty minutes.
