Vincenzo Fattiboni was a prominent figure in the Carboneria movement in Cesena, known as “Beozia,” along with Eduardo Fabbri. Born on March 14, 1786 and died on May 12, 1850, he played an important role in several Risorgimento battles, fighting against the repressive measures of the Papal Gendarmerie and the lack of social reforms by the Papal States.

Fattiboni experienced numerous disappointments during his life, including the failure of the Napoleonic reforms and the restoration of authoritarian regimes after the Congress of Vienna (1814-1815). He also witnessed the defeat of the army of the Napoleonic colonel Giuseppe Sercognani during the uprisings of 1830-31 and the failed Battle of Monte in Cesena on January 20, 1832.

These constant setbacks had a profound effect on him, eventually leading to his suicide. Fattiboni's life was marked by a series of hopes and disappointments, reflecting the turbulent historical period in which he lived.
