The Droste zu Vischering von Nesselrode-Reichenstein family of counts acquired the monastery buildings in 1909. They had the complex converted into a palace and expanded the outdoor facilities into a neo-baroque park based on the model of French garden architecture. The small neo-baroque palace building, the so-called Orangery, which houses a small cafeteria, was also built during this time. The entire complex now houses a retirement and nursing home.
The palace park is freely accessible to the public. The cafeteria in the Orangery is closed to the public.
