After the Second World War, it was one of the smallest private mines on the Ruhr. In 1956, it had about 256 employees and about 60,000 tons of coal annually. Until 1962, the mine was still in operation, then it had to be finally closed because of an imminent flooding. The preserved historic building on the Beulestraße dates back to around 1910. The building formerly housed a manhole, mining, laundry, briquette, forge and chew.
