The recreational lake is not far from Altershausen and is a popular destination for bathing visitors in summer. There are playground equipment for children, seating groups and a fireplace for a rest. East of this lake was the village "Sidenhusen" 1120/40. From 1542 it was called Seidenhausen and is desolate.

You might think that it is almost remote from civilization, because you can reach the Seidenhausen Lake via Altershausen via the land consolidation paths. It then shows itself at the foot of the Rossberg: the idyllic natural swimming lake. Here you will find absolute peace and relaxation from everyday stress.
