The spectacular, 96-meter-high Virginia Falls are located in the Nahanni National Park Reserve, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1976 and is therefore one of the first of its kind.
Due to their remote location, far from any infrastructure, they can only be reached by seaplane or boat from Fort Simpson.
